ENIGMA-Sleep Working Group
We spend a third of our lives in sleep, yet sleep is less frequently studied using imaging techniques than many neurological and psychiatric disorders. Sleep is increasingly found to have far more health impact than what was previously thought. To boost sleep research and to address many important questions about sleep and its disorders we have formed a group for international collaboration in Sleep research within ENIGMA consortium.
The ENIGMA-Sleep Working Group is aimed to explore meta-analyses of a wide range of neuroimaging modalities in physiology of sleep and its disorders. Measures such as cortical thickness, volume of subcortical structures, PET, and task/resting-state fMRI alterations can be correlated with physiological measures often recorded during polysomnography and actigraphy.
The Group is led by Dr. Masoud Tahmasian and Prof. Dr. Kai Spiegelhalder. Previous prospective meta-analysis studies conducted through an international collaboration proved fruitful. We are actively searching for new international collaborations to join ENIGMA-Sleep Working Group. We are always open to new datasets and collaborators. The only prerequisite is that you be willing to follow the ENIGMA MOU guidelines.
We have wide range of expertise, to overcome possible shortcomings in any of the collaborating projects. If you need any help, please let us know.
If you are interested in participating in the ENIGMA-Sleep group, please contact Dr. Tahmasian.
